The castle of Oedenbourg, or Mittel-Koenigsbourg, is a historical monument located in Orschwiller, a few hundred meters from the Haut-Kœnigsbourg. At the beginning of the 13th century, a second fortress was built next to it: the Nieder-Koenigsbourg. Neither its builders nor its owners are known. In 1267, the two castles neighbors of Haut-Koenigsbourg were shared between three cousin families, all vassals of the Duke of Lorraine. Nieder-Koenigsbourg's imposing walls, as well as the front of the house flanked by two ogival windows, are still standing.
