A cape covered with heathers
0
0
Pointe du Brule ou Brulay spreads out a massif of 815 acres (330 ha) of moors covered with heathers and gorses that scorch in autumn. The area is filled with all varieties of heaters: broom heather, calluna, bell, or ciliate. It constitutes the favorite playground of bats like the horseshoe bat and the mouse-eared bat. The cape separates the Anse de la Brick (Brick Cove) from the village of Maupertus. On its heights, it conceals a German Seeadler battery, which had four guns of 6,85 inches (17.4 cm), and a fire direction post.
