A brotherhood with monthly ceremonies

The castle of Clos de Vougeot is occupied by the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Each month, they gather to enthrone new members at the end of a grandiose ritual of high gastronomy with 500 guests exclusively by invitation. The most important event is the famous Hospices de Beaune sale. The induction rituals are inspired by the Knights of the Round Table and the Order of the Golden Fleece of the Dukes of Burgundy. Charles de Gaulle, Alfred Hitchcock, Alain Prost, or Ronald Reagan were part of the brotherhood that has 36 sub-commanderies spread over France and across the five continents.
