The Don du Vent, chartered by The Explorers' team for an outing in the Frioul archipelago and the creeks of Marseille, is among the emblematic boats mooring in the city's Old Port. This 98 ft (30 m) long auric ketch, built in Germany in 1947 and restored in the 1980s, is also listed as a boat of heritage interest (BIP), a label awarded for a renewable period of 5 years. As such, the Don du Vent is one of the boats bearing a human, conceptual, and technical or event-based testimony exonerated from the annual francization and navigation fees.
