A bay sheltered from the Atlantic swells

The Baie du Trésor is located on the Caravelle peninsula, just off Pointe Caracoli that marks the easternmost point of Martinique. It is only accessible by boat or on foot in about forty minutes by a hiking trail that crosses the forest starting from the parking lot of Château Dubuc. Its beach of very fine gray sand is difficult to find because it is hidden by vegetation. It extends over 328 ft (100 m) facing the calm waters suitable for swimming in the bay sheltered from the swells and the prevailing Atlantic winds. The body of water in this maritime enclave is protected by a series of reefs south of Pointe Caracoli and by three reefs that block its entrance open to the south and the eastern part of Baie du Galion.
