8 eggs already placed in the incubator!

Several couples of scarlet macaws have started to lay eggs, the first of the season! While checking the nests, the Macaw Mountain team detects fertilized eggs that appear to be in danger. Sometimes, inexperienced couples may break their eggs; or when the nests have more than two fertilized eggs, one or more eggs may be rejected by the parents. These so-called "at risk eggs" are placed in artificial incubation in the Breeding Center to give the little ones the opportunity to be born, with the necessary care. 8 eggs have already been placed in the incubator!
