The Louis Vuitton Foundation building uses the leitmotifs of the Deconstruction movement, dear to the American architect, Frank Gehry. It shows with the absence of right angles combined with a fragmentation of volumes and the use of innovative materials. Installing twelve sails of 250 to 500 tons of glass and steel was not the least challenge of this unique construction. Its multiple reflections anchor a connectivity with the earth, the trees, and the sky. The water basin where it rests strengthens it. It is one of the most innovative buildings of the 21st century.
