The construction of the twelve sails of the Louis Vuitton Foundation was, in itself, a human and technological feat. It was the most impressive phase of the construction. First, the lifting of the stainless steel structures of the skylights was done at night, in order to preserve the safety of the workers. Then the laminated glass panels, hung on frames fitted with suction cups, were hoisted up, one by one, by a crane. The rope access technicians stood in the structure and had to slide the glass into the rails provided for this purpose. The process was repeated thousands of times to cover the 13,500 m² of skylights.
