Reuse of rainwater
Water is omnipresent all around the Louis Vuitton Foundation. Perhaps this is also related to the three water features that adorn the nearby Jardin d’Acclimatation. A very complex system for collecting, filtering and storing rainwater, collected from the glass roofs and walls of the iceberg, has been put in place. This water is used in the waterfall and in the basin surrounding the Foundation. Slightly chlorinated, the water circulates in a closed circuit, with injections to compensate for evaporation. The rainwater is also used to supply the cisterns, to water the plants and, two or three times a year, to clean the glass roofs.
