An unconventional building

Frank Gehry is a specialist in unconventional buildings of often titanic dimensions. He is the architect of the impossible, as he proved with the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris. The 13,500 m² of sails envelops steel and concrete blocks covered with 19,000 white panels of Ductal (ultra-high performance fibre-reinforced concrete). The building rises to a height of over 40 metres and overlooks the Bois de Boulogne and the Jardin d’Acclimatation, to which the museum ticket gives free access. The eleven exhibition galleries offer 3,850 m² of museum space. .
