In Seine-et-Marne, the 30 Arpents farm has 80 hectares of pasture for its 230 cows. The herd is fed on fodder and cereals grown on the farm to produce the best milk. The domain’s cheese factory is the only one in France to produce farmhouse Brie de Meaux PDO. Located in Favières, in the heart of the wooden Brie region, the farm has been perpetuating the Brie de Meaux cheese tradition since 1991. Twice a day, the Prim’Holstein cows are taken to be milked. The 7,000 litres of milk collected each day are processed directly in the cheese dairy adjacent to the barn.
