The average age of the Clos Mireille vineyard, located on the Mediterranean coast in the locality of La Londe-les-Maures in the Var department, is sixteen years. The vineyard covers a plot of 148 acres (60 ha) in one piece, separated from the sea by a 65 ft (20 m) wide sandy beach. It allows the Ott* estates to produce 15% of white wine out of the 800,000 bottles from their vines and, in particular, the famous Blanc du Clos Mireille aged in foudre, a very large wooden barrel equivalent to several barrels. Like the other wines of the Ott* estates, it is bottled in the house's iconic bottles that resemble antique amphoras.
