It is nicknamed the fish with four eyes, when it only has two. Anableps anableps is a species of fish that is able to see both underwater and on the surface at the same time. Its eyes are separated by a partition which allows it to divide them into two lobes. Thus, when he swims on the surface with his eyes above water, he also sees underwater. Its peripheral vision allows it to spot its predators. This fish lives in mangrove forests.
