More than 12,000 kilometers in eleven days without stopping. The male red-haired godwit is a bird that nests in arctic regions during its breeding season. In September, one of the specimens, equipped with a geolocation device, left southwest Alaska and landed in Auckland Bay (New Zealand) eleven days later. The previous record dates from 2007 and was already held by a red barge. The bird had traveled 11,600 kilometers without interruption.
