Vatnajökull ice caves in Iceland
Located in Iceland, the ice caves of Vatnajökull make us enter in a fairy tale. Nicknamed the crystal caves, they are the result of a rare phenomenon that originates in the melting of glaciers. In summer, the water digs paths in the glaciers, which forms cavities. In winter, with the fall of temperatures, these cavities freeze and become spectacular caves. Photo credit: David Phan
