A new technology to deter poachers

Make rhino horns radioactive. This is the project a team of South African scientists is working on. Thanks to the radiation detectors installed at the South African borders, this idea is to discourage poachers from taking action. The process aims to inject a radioactive amino acid into the horns of rhinos in the wild. South Africa is home to 80% of the world's rhinoceros.
