Newly discovered pangolin species
A new species of pangolin, dubbed "Manis mysteria," has been discovered by Chinese researchers, while analyzing confiscated scales. Until now, it was thought that there were only eight species of pangolin in the world, victims of a vast global trade. The pangolin-like "Manis mysteria" has an adhesive tongue and camouflage abilities, enabling it to climb trees and feed on insects. No new species of pangolin had been discovered for 200 years.
