A mute frog!

The Thorny-throated Frog (Hyperolius ukaguruensis) does not croak or shout. It is an extremely rare phenomenon in amphibians because croaking is one of their distinctive signs. The scientific community does not know to this day the reasons for such a biological singularity in the spiny-throated frogs. Unfortunately, this species is threatened with extinction by the loss of its habitat. In February 2023, in Tanzania (East Africa), a team of researchers discovered a new individual of this species of frog... very good news!
