A woman flies to the Eastern Imperial eagle's rescue
Georgia is one of the main breeding grounds for the Eastern Imperial Eagle. The species is very threatened by the poaching which rages in the country. Natia Javakhishvili, a young Georgian scientist, set herself a challenge: to protect the imperial eagle pairs in her country. It tracks space using GPS beacons and provides awareness-raising work with the authorities to protect the habitat of eagles. Photo credit: Natia Javakhishvili
