In one immersion, he can map 50 square kilometers, or the area of Manhattan (New York). The new robot from IFREMER, the French institute for marine research, is a real gem of technology. Capable of reaching a depth of 6,000 meters and equipped with artificial intelligence, the robot will collect oceanographic data in total autonomy. As a reminder, in 1985, the IFREMER teams were the first to discover and explore the wreck of the Titanic.
