It is the fifth satellite sent into space to observe the oceans. On November 21, 2020, the Sentinel-6 satellite took off from a California base, the result of a partnership between the European Space Agency, NASA and the US Agency for Ocean and Atmospheric Observation (NOAA). The main objective of the mission is to accurately measure sea level in real-time and thus be able to monitor their evolution. Photo credit: NASA
