The Galapagos Archipelago is home to invaluable biodiversity. On Thursday, November 26, the Archipelago National Park announced the discovery of a white penguin. According to them, its color is due to a genetic condition known as leucism, which causes a partial loss of pigmentation in the plumage or coat of animals. This characteristic already affects Bengal tigers, some sharks and lobsters. Photo credit: Parque Galápagos
