A little nectar for the road?

The purple Hedgehog (Epipactis purpurata), a species of orchid, enhances the pollinating ability of the wasp. Unlike the bee, the wasp is a poor pollinator. Indeed, she cleans herself too frequently and removes the pollen present on her body. That's where purple Hinchweed comes in. This flower produces an ethanol-rich nectar that makes wasps drunk, so they're less concerned about cleaning themselves and more likely to keep pollen on their bodies. Also, when under the influence of ethanol, wasps have erratic movements, visit more flowers and maximize pollination.
