To save a bird species, a NGO bought an Island

Cousin Island in the Seychelles archipelago (Africa) was bought 52 years ago by the NGO Birdlife International in order to save an endangered species. The Seychelles warbler is an endemic bird of the archipelago. In 1968, Cousin Island was home to only 26 individuals. Today, 320 Seychelles warblers populate the island. Photo credit: Serge Marizy
