The island of Helgoland is the cradle of baby seals in the North Sea. Every year, between November and January, nearly 1,000 seals come to the island's beaches to give birth. Located 60 kilometers from the German coast, this island is popular with North Sea seals because the amount of food is abundant for them. Photo credit: Daniel
