After numerous researches and studies on the subject, Roan Plotz and Wayne Linklater, Australian and American researchers, came to the following conclusion: by a cry of alarm, the Red-billed oxpecker, are able to warn rhinos, whose vision is reduced, from the arrival of an intruder. The rhinos are constantly listening to the cries of the bird. In return, the latter in particular feed on ticks present on the mammal's body. Photo credit: Ryan Kilpatrick
