Every eight minutes, a boat passes through the waters of this strait. The Strait of Malacca is the largest strait in the world. Located in Southeast Asia, it extends over 930 kilometers and connects the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean. A strait is a current that puts two maritime spaces in communication. The Strait of Malacca is one of the most important shipping lanes in the world. For the Japanese economy, this strait plays a major role in the import of raw materials and the export of goods to Europe.
