Don't be fooled by its size! Bees have exceptional cognitive abilities notwithstanding their miniature brain (1 mm3, the size of a sesame seed). A new study in Plos Biology led by the Queen Mary University of London claims that bees can play jigsaw puzzles, observing and imitating other, more experienced bumblebees.
