The spotted wolf, known as Anarhichas lupus, can be recognized by its elongated body, rounded head and wide mouth. It is a fearsome predator, sometimes exceeding two meters in length. Its ultra-powerful jaws enable it to crush the shells of its prey, including shellfish and sea urchins, in a matter of seconds. Its teeth fall out after the breeding season and are then renewed!
