The salar of Uyuni: the largest mirror in the world
4
0
The salar of Uyuni, is located in the highlands of southwest Bolivia. This expanse of salt is located at an altitude of 3,658 meters. With an area of 10 582 km2, it is the largest salt reserve in the world. The salar has the particularity of being an entirely flat area. Thus, the heavy rainfall that usually takes place between January and March floods the entire salar. Once covered with water, it becomes a mirror of water.
