Today, they are 855. In 2002, they were 94. In 19 years, the Iberian lynx population has increased nine-fold. If this trend continues, the species could be out of danger by 2040. The Iberian lynx lives in Spain and Portugal (Europe) and was one of the most endangered felines in the world.
