The « decorator » crab

It is nicknamed the decorator crab. This species of crustacean carries, permanently, on its back, pieces of its environment to camouflage itself. Its body is covered with setæ, microscopic hairs that work like velcro. It, therefore, equips itself with algae, anemones, and plants to better blend together and thus protect itself from predators.
