Solar panels made from fruit and vegetable waste

Carvey Ehren Maigue, a 27-year-old Filipino engineer created solar panels from food waste. These solar panels are capable of providing more energy than current solar panels. The particles, resulting from the waste, transform the UV waves into visible light, which itself will be transformed into electricity. The young engineer has just received the 2020 James Dyson Prize for Sustainable Development.
