Seagrass, the ocean's guardian
1
0
Seagrass plays an important role in preserving the planet. They occupy only 0.15% of the seabed but capture 10% of the carbon that the oceans trap each year. They store continuously in their roots as well as in the coastal zones' soils. As a comparison, they capture more carbon than forests. Photo credit: John mark Arnold
