Ted Turner, CNN's founder and American Bisons protector

0
Ted Turner is a media legend. In 1980, he founded CNN the first continuous American news channel. Besides this activity, Turner is a committed man, sensitive to the preservation of species. From a very young age, he has a very specific desire: to restore the habitat of North American bison. Since the mid-1980s, Ted Turner bought lands to save the species. Today, he has 16 farms in 6 different states for a total area of 800,000 hectares (2 million acres), which is ten times the size of New York City. More than 50,000 bison graze their farms, a population that accounts for at least 10% of the country's bison.
