It was created 11,000 years ago. Jericho is the oldest city in the world still inhabited to this day. Located in the West Bank (Near East), in the Jordan Valley, Jericho was one of the first examples of great social organization. The city conceals priceless archaeological treasures such as the Mount of Temptation. Located about 250 meters below sea level, Jericho is also the lowest city in the world.
