In 2019, 50 people lived there. Pitcairn Island is an island in the Pacific, located more than 3,000 miles from each continent. It is the only British territory in the Pacific and the least populated territory in the world. The island is a treasure trove of biodiversity, nearly 1,300 marine species inhabit the seabed, including rare species such as the false cat shark.
