It has the size of an ant. Wolffia angusta commonly known as round-flowered duckweed is the smallest fruit in the world. It is the fruit of a water plant that lives in most ponds and streams in Asia and Africa. Despite its microscopic size, this fruit is packed with protein and many countries in Southeast Asia grow it regularly. It tastes similar to watercress and is most commonly eaten as a soup.
