No, coral is not a plant. It is a marine animal. Coral is part of the cnidarian family, like its cousins the sea anemones or jellyfish. Corals are reef builders, necessary for the reproduction, food and protection of many marine animals. Together, they form one of the most unique and precious proteges in the world.
