No need fore a male to reproduce

It is the largest bird in North America. The California condor can measure up to 2.90 meters in wingspan. Another surprising feature: females do not need a male to reproduce. And this thanks to parthogenesis: a form of reproduction where an embryo can develop in an egg without sexual intercourse. A phenomenon that also concerns other species such as the bee.
