Coral reefs are home to a quarter of the marine life, representing more than a million species. During the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations, the international organization created the first international fund for the protection and safeguard of coral reefs. The goal is to raise and invest $ 500 million in reef conservation over the next ten years.
