Giraffes victims of a silent extinct
7
0
On the African continent, between 1985 and 2015, the number of giraffes fell by 40%. Until now, this decrease in population has been very little noticed, analyzed and therefore mentioned. Some scientists thus advance the term silent extinction. For many years, the census of giraffes was not a priority. The drop in their workforce was much greater in unprotected areas and above all, its very large size suggested that it was still present on the ground.
