Dogs help rescue the elephants
Benin (West Africa) is home to one of the last viable populations of elephants on the African continent. As in all other countries, poaching threatens this balance. This is where the Cotonou canine brigade comes in. Created in 2012, this brigade is mainly used to fight against drug trafficking. Since this year, and thanks to the support of the International Fund for the Protection of Animals, canids are trained and are now helping to fight against ivory trafficking. Photo credit: Marc Auer
