After a century of absence on the territory, the red kite thrives today in the United Kingdom. From the 18th to the 20th century, the species of raptor was the target of hunters and private collectors. Thanks to a vast reintroduction program carried out in England and Scotland for twenty years, the red kite is no longer threatened.
