The polar fox, the Arctic resistant
5

It survives extreme temperatures. The polar fox is an animal that lives only above the Arctic Circle. Omnivorous, it feeds on small rodents such as the vole and the polar hare. Nocturnal animal, it hunts especially at night. The polar fox changes color with the seasons. In winter, its white coat is a formidable asset for camouflaging itself from its main predators such as the polar bear. When summer comes, its coat turns gray-brown to better hide in the tundra in spring. Photo credit: Jonatan Pie
