The boss of the oceans

The Southern Ocean plays a decisive role in the balance of ecosystems. It's a CO2 sink: on its own, it absorbs 50% of all the CO2 recommended by the five oceans. This ability to abort is explained by the Antarctic Circumpolar Current. The latter is the most powerful current on the planet, it mixes the waters of the three oceans: Indian, Pacific, and Atlantic. It captures warm currents and redistributes cold waters.
