French theme park announces its dolphinarium closure

Parc Asterix, one of the oldest French theme parks, has announced the permanent closure of its dolphinarium. The decision concerns eight dolphins. In the next four months, they will be transferred to dolphinariums among the 27 Europeans recognized by scientific and governmental bodies. These dolphins cannot be reintroduced into the natural environment at this time.
