The dodo, symbol of the extinction of species
2
0
Endemic to Mauritius in the Indian Ocean, the dodo is a species of bird that became extinct in the 17th century. Too heavy to fly, run and therefore to flee, the species did not survive the arrival of humans on its territory. Today it is one of the symbols of the phenomenon of species extinction.
