Manta rays are fascinating animals. Among their species, manta rays are the largest rays in the world. They can high up to 24 feet. Manta means a blanket in Spanish, which refers to the shape of its two large fins. To protect them, Indonesia created in 2014 the world's largest sanctuary of manta rays. It covers around 6 million square meters. Photo credit: The Explorers
