Pollution of the Rímac River falls by 90%
In this particular period and following the slowdown in human activities in Peru, the waters of the Rímac River in Lima regain their clarity. Scientists have recorded a 90% drop in pollution from the river. It alone supplies more than 80% of the water for the city of Lima. Photo credit: David Pino
